Youtube Keyword Research: Everything You Need To Know

If you are looking for an article on Youtube Keyword Research, then look no further. This article will provide tricks to get your videos ranked higher. There are two ways to do keyword research, and in this video, I’ll show you how to do both.

Keyword research is an essential part of your video creation process. It helps you in two ways:

First, it gives you an idea about what to create in the first place. If no one is searching for that topic, then why would anyone watch? You may think, “I’ll just make this tutorial, and if people find out, they will come.” This doesn’t work.

Second, it helps you market your video. If no one is searching for that topic, then how will anyone find out about your video? You have to create a plan of action so people can discover what you’ve made.

In plain terms, keyword research is the art of finding what your customers want to know. So let’s take a look at the different ways to do keyword research.

Alphabet Soup

The first and more complicated way to do keyword research is a method called “alphabet soup.” This method involves going to the YouTube search bar with a keyword idea (for example, “how to bake a chocolate cake”) and cycling through all options. Check out the below images as an example.

The first example is “how to bake a chocolate cake.”

The following example includes our original keyword plus the letter “a”

Then “b.”

You’d repeat this step until you’ve completed the entire alphabet. Unfortunately, this is the “hard way because you have no idea which video you should make based on the keyword. This could result in you creating a video that is too competitive and results in no viewers.

The easier, better way is to use this keyword research tool. This tool will cut your research time in half because it gives you a score (out of 100) on the changes your video will rank for a keyword. In addition, the tool makes additional suggestions to improve your chances of ranking.

Overall Score

On this page, there is a ton of helpful information. First, you can get an overall score for the keyword. This score ranks the chances of your video ranking on the first page of YouTube. The closer this score is to 100, the better your chances.

Score Analysis

The score analysis is an explanation of the overall score. You want to pay attention to the number of monthly searches, videos in the search results, and optimization strength. The closer the charts are to green, the better your chances of ranking.

Related Searches

The most significant benefit of this tool is the related searches. If the overall score is low (less than 50), you’d want to check out the related searches for other keywords. You can click on these keywords to see if the score increases. Check out the image below for a clear example.

In the above example, I searched “how to bake a chocolate cake without cocoa powder” As a new YouTube channel, this is a video that you should make. Making this video gives you a much better chance of ranking in the top 20 in the YouTube search results.
