You’re in luck because, in this video, I’m going to answer the question. Can you monetize gaming videos on YouTube? And in addition, we’re going to talk about all of the different ways you can monetize it.

[00:00:33] So again, you want to start a gaming YouTube channel, but you’re you want to make sure that you can monetize it. And so that you’re not wasting your time and the short and long of it is. Yes. But, and I’m going to go ahead and explain that before you jump off. So the first thing that you need to know, if you want to monetize with YouTube, join the YouTube partner program, you need at least 1000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours and no community strikes, but there are other and better ways to make money.
[00:01:03] And so that’s why there’s always such a push to have people subscribe to your channel and to watch longer so that you can do. The YouTube partner program. Now that’s just one way. And in my opinion, the YouTube partner program is the least profitable way. And before I continue, I want to let you know that just because you get the 1000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours, there’s no guarantee that you will be.
[00:01:27] Accepted into the partner program. Those numbers that I just mentioned are four basic eligibility. You can be declined if you have too much swearing. If your content is considered not monetized, advertisers don’t want to place ads on your content for whatever reason. Let’s stick with me here.
[00:01:46] I’m going to show you all of the different ways that you could potentially make money with your new YouTube channel. So the first thing’s first is we’re going to use this Madden 22. It’s a relatively new game that just came out. So we’re going to use it as an example, the first and obvious way you can make it.
[00:02:01] With affiliate marketing and affiliate marketing, you are simply recommending or selling other people’s products and services. And with affiliate marketing, there’s tons of opportunity. , For example, you, of course, could be an affiliate for Amazon. So we’re going to go over to amazon.com, and we’re going to talk about some of the ways you could make money with Amazon.
[00:02:17] you could make money with the—video game franchise. As you can see, in Madden 22 PlayStation five, you can make some money, thereby placing your affiliate link in the video’s description. So that’s just one way, another way that you can make money. If you are creating content about Madden is if we go back here, we could promote differently.
[00:02:39] Apparel, most likely people that play men enjoy NFL apparel, and you could promote these Gatorade towels. They’re just 1999, but I’m going to show you how much money you could potentially make just promoting these towels. So these are 1999, and we go back over here. The top result, 146,000 views from just yesterday.
[00:03:00] This person has over 1 million subscribers. So you can understand. How much it would take to get 146,000 views. But if we did the math here, if we did 1 46, okay. 146,000, and we multiply that by 1%. So just 1% or 1,460 people are going to be our buyers. So 1460, if we go back over to Amazon and look at this $20 product, and we assume that we earn just a 3% commission, which is 60 cents, we’re going to take 14, 16.
[00:03:31] And we’re going to multiply that by 60 cents. And we’re looking at $876 in just one day of work. So he uploaded this video just one day ago, and he would make $876 from just the towel, but there are other ways that you can make money as well. You could be an affiliate for something. So, of course, are, or I’m sorry, this is the razor, but you could be an affiliate for raiser, which has premium gaming laptops and computers.
[00:04:00] You could be an affiliate for GameFly, which also sells affiliate or which also sells. Video games and components, or you could be an affiliate for secret lab, which sells gaming chairs. So you can earn a commission with all of these. Also, Nvidia has an affiliate program, but there are other ways that you could make money with your gaming, YouTube.
[00:04:23] And you can make money simply by creating a course or an ebook or a guide. Maybe you have a speed run where you can level up to all men or pros within 24 or 48 hours. You could put that together, and you could sell that for just $5. You could put together those guides. Think about back in the day or over at GameStop.
[00:04:44] They have those booklets. Are those guys. Where they sell them, and they walk you through it. For example, I remember with mortal combat. They had player guides with all the different button combinations and finishing moves. You could do the same thing. You could put that in a video format or an ebook or a guide and sell it yourself.
[00:05:03] Now, you do want to be aware of copyright and copyright laws and infringement, but if you have a speed run or a way to collect all of the Easter eggs for division two, you could sell it. For $5 and make money. And to show you how much money you can make with that, let’s look at the second result here.
[00:05:20] Now he has 68,000 views from just 18 hours ago. If we multiply it by 1%, again, 1%, that’s 680 people. Suppose we take 680 people and multiply. You are looking at $3,400 in 18 hours’ worth of work. Now, again, that’s selling your own physical or digital products. One other way that you can make money is with email marketing.
[00:05:42] And indeed, with email marketing, you are going to collect emails of your viewers, and you can make money in several ways. One way is you can send out an email. Anytime you upload a brand new video, that’s going to bring people back to your YouTube channel. And if you are a part of the YouTube partner program, you can make money.
[00:05:58] Also, you can put affiliate links in the descriptions of your video. So even if you aren’t a part of the YouTube partner program, people see those links in your videos’ description, click those links, and make money. So you can see how profitable email marketing is just by bringing people back to your content.
[00:06:12] Another way you can make money is by starting a website, and you could create a website today, as you can see here for less than $3 per. And you could place ads on those websites, put your YouTube videos on blog posts, do a short write-up about what the post is about, send people to a blog, post place ads on those blog posts, and make money that way.
[00:06:34] So, even if you aren’t a part of the YouTube partner program directly, there are ways to make it. Indirectly simply that way. So let’s recap here. You could join the YouTube partner program. As long as you are adding value and making transformative fair use content. You can make money with affiliate marketing.
[00:06:50] As I’ve shown you here, you can make money starting a blog or a website. You could make money selling your own physical or digital product. You can also make money with the merchandise. If you have 10,000 subscribers, you can place a merchandise shelf linked to a T string Teespring account right on your.
[00:07:08] On your YouTube channel or YouTube videos, that is a relatively easy way to make money as well. But in my opinion, the best way to make money is simply with affiliate marketing because you can promote everything from gaming chairs to gaming desk microphones headsets, the game itself, computers. So anything related to video gaming, you could potentially enable and make money.
[00:07:29] You could also work with other brands or do brand deals and sponsorships that usually kick in when you start getting about 5,000 subscribers, but there are lots of opportunities. So to answer your question, can you monetize gaming videos on YouTube? The short answer is yes. The long answer is there are a bunch of ways.
