[00:00:00] And this video, I’m going to show you how to start a YouTube channel that has the potential to make over $13,000 per month. In this video, I will show you step-by-step how to create a tutorial, YouTube channel. Hello, and welcome back to start the channel.com, where we offer you. Step-by-step how-to starts successful YouTube channels and makes money.
[00:00:18] Be sure to like subscribe, ring the bell. Or any other video on the shuttle helps you out? So basically, what we are going to do today is I’m going to show you how to pick a niche and tell you why that’s important for your new tutorial YouTube channel. After that, we’re going to niche down, and I’m going to, of course, show you how to do that.
[00:00:33] We’re going to talk about the necessary tools for your channel and why you need to create some brand colors after that. I will speak with you and help you work through channel art and why you need it. How to do keyword research and create videos so that people like, subscribe, and engage.
[00:00:49] Great thumbnails, your upload schedule, and why you should share your content on social media. And the very beginning after that, we will talk about different ways to make money and why you should start a website. So first things first, we need to pick a niche. When you are beginning a tutorial channel, you want to choose a place and stay there.
[00:01:08] A niche is just a. Subject area that you create content. For example, if we look at this one, this is Charlie Chang. He creates content in the wealth space. He teaches people how to make money online. If you look at this, he’s talking about NFTs. He’s talking about the stock market crash. So he is creating content within the make money online space that we look at in this example.
[00:01:29] This one right here, programming with the marsh. He creates content about programming. Now what you could do, if you wanted to start a programming YouTube channel, for example, you could focus only on one type of programming, or if you wanted to create a how-to channel for Charlie Chang, like Charlie Chang, you would focus on maybe how to invest in stocks.
[00:01:49] And later on in this video, I’m going to show you how to do keyword research and niche down so that you can see. You are getting traffic. So speaking of niching down, as I mentioned, instead of just talking about wealth, since your channel will be much smaller, you might want to pick one of the niches within wealth.
[00:02:04] There is everything from for the marketing drop shipping. There’s saving money, investing money. NFTs is a new one, and that’s where you want to start. You want to niche down because just creating content on the stock market is going to be competitive. So if we jump back over, the next thing that you want to determine is yours.
[00:02:22] The equipment you need will depend on the type of content you create. If you decide to make a talking head video, you will want to give a microphone and probably a DSLR camera. Now, if you click the second link in the description, I have a guide that shows you and tells you about giving the necessary equipment.
[00:02:43] If you decide not to show your face, you probably want to do something like B roll. For example, you can grab a B roll footage from Pexels if we type in the stock market. As you can see here, the stock market has both photos and videos about the stock market. So they have over 3000 videos that you could download.
[00:03:04] Now, if you want to step your game up just a little bit, you can pay for even more videos from a website, like story blocks. If you typed in the stock market here, they’re going to have even more videos. And the benefit is some of these videos are going to be 4k. And so, if you want to invest, you want to grow your business.
[00:03:22] You might want to look at something like story blocks that was speaking of growing your business and investing. You should start where you are if you don’t have any money. To invest in a microphone or a camera, use your smart device, start where you are, and then reinvest as you start making some money.
[00:03:38] Don’t let the lack of technology hold you back because many people started simply with their smartphones, and they’ve gone to millions of subscribers. So make sure you start where you are—the link in the description. As I mentioned, the second link will go over all of the equipment you may need, may or may not need depending on the method you choose.
[00:03:57] Once you get your equipment in order, you want to get your brand colors. Now your brand colors are simply the colors that people will come to know and expect from you. So, for example, if we look at programming with Matias colors, forest thumbnails anyway, are black, yellow. This is because black and gold or black and yellow exude confidence, trust, loyalty, and expense.
[00:04:21] So you might want to think about that when you are picking your brand colors up here, his channel banner is purple, white, and black. If you have no idea what to choose, you can use something called the Canva color when it comes to brand colors. And if I click back here, the camera color palette has put together groups of colors that will help make your life much easier.
[00:04:42] What you can do is go through find one that you like. For example, let’s look at these greens here, and as you can see, they have given you an example. You can copy the color of the hex color, and you can either use this for the rest of your thumbnails and your banner or hire someone else.
[00:04:59] And if we go back over to our slide deck, You want to go ahead and get your channel art. Now your channel art includes your banner, your logo, as well as your thumbnail template. Oh, you can do this yourself. Or you can hire someone to do it. If you decide to do it yourself, you can use a website like a handbook, and they’ll have both free and paid templates to help you set everything up.
[00:05:19] So what you can do is you can type in YouTube. As you can see here and they have both free and pay templates that are the correct dimensions. You can click on one and then make the necessary changes, download it to your computer, and then upload it. They also have a smartphone app as well.
[00:05:35] So it makes your life much easier. Suppose you want to hire someone too. You can go over to fiber, and you can find someone. If you type in YouTube channel art, people will create channel art for you for as little as $5. Some will charge a little more, but obviously, you get what you pay for and what you’ll do.
[00:05:53] Let’s say you decide to go the five-year route. You will give them the brand colors that you found in the previous step. That’s why we went and the direction that we went. And so after we had. The channel art squared away. The next thing that we want to do is keyword research. Now keyword research is simply the act of figuring out what your customers want to know in the very beginning because no one knows who you are.
[00:06:13] You don’t have any subscribers or followers. I recommend that you create content based on keyword research, and keyword research can be done in two ways. The hard way to do it is to go up to YouTube, and you can type in your niche, for example, how to start programming. It is an idea or an example of someone looking for a way to learn how to start programming.
[00:06:37] And this is a tedious way because you manually have to go through each letter of the alphabet to figure out precisely what your customers are looking for. And even to niche down, a better way is to download a free Chrome plugin. And that’ll be the fourth Lincoln’s prescription if you download the free Chrome plug.
[00:06:57] You go to keyword Explorer, and you can say how to start programming. So you hit enter, and it will give you not only the results that you looked up but also some related searches. So, beginning programming for beginners might be a better option for you because you don’t have any domain authority. No one knows about your videos.
[00:07:18] You don’t have any likes, subscribers, or followers. And so, how to start programming might be too competitive for you, but something like how to start programming for beginners could be a better alternative. And another example is How to start investing versus how to start investing in cryptocurrency.
[00:07:37] Even if we did how to start investing in cryptocurrency, you can see there are even more options if we hit the space bar here. And then, you want to make sure that you have an idea of your niche because how to start investing in cryptocurrency is very general versus how to start investing in Bitcoin or dogecoin.
[00:07:55] That’s going to be much more targeted, much narrowed down, also called niching down. So you wanted to make sure that you’re doing keyword research to figure out precisely what your customers want to know. And then you’re going to go ahead and answer those problems. So if we go back over to our slide deck, the next step is to create videos.
[00:08:10] Now, the key to creating the key to success over on YouTube is to create content. That helps solve a problem. People are coming to YouTube because they either want to be entertained or have a problem that needs to be solved. So, for example, if we look at this channel here, he is solving the problem of NFTs and the stock market.
[00:08:30] And so you want to make sure that you are doing that too. You are solving a. If they’re going to learn more about woodworking, you are creating content to help solve that problem, to create the best videos possible. So you want to make sure that you are attempting to change the viewpoint, the viewing angle every seven to 15 seconds, and you can use something like Pexels, or you can even use story blocks if you want, to help change.
[00:08:55] The viewing angle, you can also use graphics, and you can use music as well, but you want to make sure that you are creating high-quality videos that solve a problem. So now, I recommend that you try and create videos that are at least eight minutes long, simply because if you do become monetized or get paid by the YouTube partner program, you will need to have at least eight-minute videos so that you can put ads in the beginning, middle and end of those videos.
[00:09:19] Now, if we go back over to. You want to create videos, and then you want to create thumbnails for those videos. I record. To look and see what your niche is doing. For example, if I were to get into the investing space, I don’t want to look at the top creators in this space and see what they’re doing.
[00:09:35] As you can see, he has giant green and then black and white text. And then he has a fundamental—essential background and in his image. So what I would do if I were getting into this space would be create thumbnails similar to this. I would not make the exact thumbnails. I’d create something similar.
[00:09:54] Now, you can either create these yourself by using Canva. We can go over to Canva and type in YouTube some nails. And as you can see, there are a bunch of free and paid templates that you can use. So you would click on let’s click on this. And what you can do is have a picture to yourself on the right, and then you can change the text.
[00:10:16] We could say if we were doing a 40% increase, Let’s say we were doing the stock market example. We could copy this and then obviously make the necessary changes. And then we could add a stock chart, just like what we saw with the other examples. We could go to elements here and type in, let’s say, arrow, arrow-like.
[00:10:43] And then we could find an arrow of the stock market going up. So we can even grab this one, like this. And if we wanted to, we could flip this like that, and then we can turn it just like that. And it looks very similar to what he has done with his. So now we can find a stock market arrow and make it even more.
[00:11:06] Now, there are two ways to create thumbnails if we go back over here. You can either do it yourself, or you can hire someone to do it over on fiber. If you hire someone to do it, you want to make sure you explain exactly what you want from them. But if you type in a YouTube thumbnail here, you are going to see it.
[00:11:21] They’re going to, they’re able to create thumbnails for as little as $5, and they can get them back to you. So you’ll need to get them the technology that you’re interested in. So the color scheme and the texts you want on them, but you can hire someone for as little as $5. So I recommend if you are going to spend any money, spend money on a decent microphone.
[00:11:41] If you are planning on doing voiceovers if you’re playing on hiring. And that’s not something you need to worry about next. We want to make sure that we upload on a schedule. So it is essential that when you first get started, that you consistently upload on a schedule. I recommend that you upload at least three times per week to build attractions and build a following.
[00:12:01] It’s no secret that YouTube will reward you. If you consistently. The more you upload, the more chances you have for success. But, unfortunately, people often struggle with YouTube because they upload once every three or four weeks. And then they wonder why nobody is watching their videos and why it’s not being recommended.
[00:12:17] You have to approach your tube, like something that you are consistently getting better at. And the only way to get better is to constantly. And then next, you want to make sure that you are sharing your content on social media. So in the very beginning, YouTube is not going to send you traffic naturally.
[00:12:31] So, you want to make sure you’re sharing your content on social media. Many people make a mistake when they share content with their local Facebook group or their Facebook wall. Most likely, your friends and family don’t care about your new YouTube. But you want to make sure you are sharing it in places that will watch.
[00:12:48] For example, you want to share it in Facebook groups that are already interested in your content. If you create content about woodworking, fine woodworking Facebook groups and share your content there also, you can also share your videos on Instagram. Tic-tac LinkedIn, Pinterest, and potentially start getting traction but don’t be afraid to share your content.
[00:13:07] The next thing you want to think about are different ways to make money. There are at least five ways to make money with your new channel. The most common method and probably the least profitable way is the YouTube partner program. With the YouTube partner program, you need to have at least 4,000 watch hours and 1000 subscribers to qualify. That doesn’t guarantee that you’ll get him.
[00:13:26] You will just qualify. Now there are other and better ways to make money. One of the best ways to make money with your YouTube channel is with affiliate marketing. With affiliate marketing, you are simply recommending or selling other people’s products. Now with his channel, because it’s about coding.
[00:13:42] He might want to recommend the best laptop for programmers or the best iPad for programmers, something that’s going to help make their job a little bit easier. For example, maybe you could become an affiliate forget or get a response, which could be an option. If we look at Charlie Chang, there are tons of different affiliate programs that he could join Coinbase for if he were promoting or talking about cryptocurrency. Still, you want to make sure that you find affiliate programs that are congruent or in line with your target audience.
[00:14:10] If you promoted if Charlie changes randomly promoted basket weavers. Very few of us customers would buy because that’s not what they come to is channel four. They come to learn about ways to save and invest money. So after affiliate marketing, you can make money with email marketing. Now, believe it or not, email marketing is still very profitable because you directly line your target audience.
[00:14:32] And the way that you make money with email marketing is you collected. And you send them emails as frequently as you want about new things that are happening. So, for example, if you upload a brand new YouTube video, send your subscribers an email letting them know. But you’ve just uploaded a brand new video, and you’ll make money a few ways.
[00:14:50] You’ll make money. Anytime someone sees those ads because you’re bringing people back, you’re making money with affiliate marketing. And if you have other digital and physical products in your description, you can make money that way. Speaking of that, you can make money by selling your own digital or physical products.
[00:15:05] You can also make money by starting a Patriot. There are several ways to make money with your new YouTube channel. If you want to learn more about different ways to make money, click the fifth link in the description. I go over how to make money step by step. And then the final thing that you want to consider is to start a website.
[00:15:22] Now, this is an optional step, but I certainly recommend it simply because if YouTube were to disappear, you lost all of your subscribers. You would have to start over from scratch. However, you won’t be starting over if you have built a website alongside your YouTube channel. You will have a different place to send your subscriber base.
[00:15:43] You can build from step three instead of step zero or step one. Starting a website is really. Plus six links in the description. We’ll show you how to start a website. Step-by-step, but I recommend this is optional, but I recommend that you do get a website for your YouTube. And when you create that website, you can either blog about stuff you’re talking about on your YouTube channel, or it can be something completely different.
[00:16:07] Now, be sure to check out the links in the description. The first link is for a YouTube channel checklist. The second link is for the necessary equipment. The third link is how to get channel art. I’m going to go through that. Step-by-step. The fourth link is for keyword research. Again, there will be a free tool that you can use to do keyword research, much easier after that.
[00:16:28] I show you different ways to make money and why you need to get a website. We should have to subscribe to the belt, this video, or any other video on the channel helps you out. Thanks for watching. And we’ll see you.
